Counselling and Therapy
Counselling and Therapy is for anyone who is struggling with personal difficulties. It offers the opportunity to explore thoughts and feelings in a supportive, safe and structured environment, where trust and confidentiality are honoured and considered essential.
The role of the counsellor is not to judge or tell the client what they should be doing in order to overcome difficulties. Instead, the therapeutic relationship should encourage each individual to develop a deeper self-awareness and understanding. Within the counselling process the therapist can gently facilitate and draw upon insights and therapeutic skills to help clients identify choices, and resolve past and present issues. Developing these inner resources can enhance emotional and physical wellbeing, and strengthen the ‘connections’ that are important to clients.
